you could buy a pair of t72's(these are around $50,000 USD) for that or a bunch of bmp's(around $20,000) id rather buy t34's though since you can now own them with live armor and main guns without paper work

remember, you have to get them shipped, and for a t-72 get a pad poured to park it on. plus the required repairs, fluids, etc you will quickly find that $100k is about the cost to get a t-72 and get in it and drive it.

ture but I don't think you will need a concrete pad to park on just some compacted gravel I mean these things are not stored on much more then that

You need a Man Cave Super-Size Garage to store it in along with a complete Tool and Die shop and Mechanic Shop to keep it running. It isn't a Honda Civic where you just add gas.

no but it can crush a Honda civic as for a garage some shipping containers with a tin roof. most of what you can buy is ex soviet no need for anything fancy and they are not all that complex with their basic diesels that will run after the world ends and there's plenty of spare parts. this is something I have spent years planning for ;)

they also drive regularly and have an army (literally) standing around that can re fill and rake the gravel when they leave, 40 tons doesn't just sit on gravel, it gradually sinks. look how any display tank is sitting, it usually on a very thick pad or resting on the bottom of the hull. if you park it near your house, you may even find yourself with foundation problems in a few years.

i too have been looking into the tracked armoured vehicle hobby for some time and your best bet right now is probably to buy a pair of BMPs, one for spares, one to drive. plenty of spare parts is relative, your local napa probably doesnt get many soviet sealed beam headlights in, and its gonna be some headache describing to ivan that you need a valve cover gasket at 80 cents a minute for long distance

не является проблемой(not a problem) but I was think in spares more along the lines of track pieces and other parts that wear out plenty of knocked out tanks for that stuff. I don't think it would be the Russians I would have to go to they don't seem to like getting rid of their stuff only ex soviet country's. sorry for going off topic

I think a big helium balloon will suspend the tank off the ground (like a sky hook) and a concrete pad is not required as it is extra cost and non value added.
