KevinB's SR-25 EMC...

Kev only gets to write a book after his new action figure comes out. Or maybe they should do a double deal on that?

First the book, then the movie deal.

Who could play the leading role?

And of course the love interest?

Zanny sidekick?

Evil villain?

Name the movie? A whole new thread? And the sequel?

Leading role: Chris Costa. :D ...Or Nicholas Cage if we must use an actual actor.

Love Interest: Halle Berry.

Zanny Sidekick: Gordon Michael Woolvett. Or Simon Pegg (Admit it... The US/Scottish dynamic would be awesome fun).

Evil villain: Toughie here... Good villains make or break a movie. Depends on the villain itself I think.
Russian Ultra nationalists: Hugo Weaving.
Chinese / NK / Japanese rogue militant: Chow Yun Fat
Colombian Drug Lord: Joaquim de Almeida
Afghan / Iraqi / Iranian / Taliban / whatever: Doesn't matter, they'll be wearing a turban. :D :D :D

I know... so politically incorrect and COMPLETE thread derail but horrendous fun. :D Any thoughts?

The hate is strong in me. Must.....not........hate............

Nope, it's official Kev, I hate you. In a good way though.

For the size of our community relative to ARFCOM, M4C, LF, ST, etc., I appreciate the time you spend and the information you spread on CGN, Mr. Boland.

I really don't know how you find the time to do it all.

Work ;), and the Canadian gun market is near and dear to my heart.

Unfortunately we had a major setback with SR-25 EMC exporting recently to Canada for commercial resale.

They approved the SR-25 EMC but, DDTC decided that the 7.62mm marking on the receiver was a no go, despite the barrel being actually .308WIN.
As well the threaded barrel was a no-no and the collapsible stock.

They have not responded with any clarifications as to the provisos on the export lic.

I shot this gun in the config above (without can) today in a 2 gun match here in Titusville.
Our local IDPA club runs two gun once a month, and three gun once a month on a opposite w/e.
We shot a Kyle Lamb VTAC drill (tgt1 1 rd, tgt2 2 rds, tgt3 3 rds, tgt2 4rds and tgt1 5 rds) and I shot my SR-25 faster on that drill than any of the 5.56mm gun shooters).

I shot a .435 group with the Leupy on this gun, but sadly I could not keep the Leupy

Stop the presses,

KevinB handed me my ass because I talked about how my LMT 14.5" shot great 5 shot groups with good optics. If memory serves me correct, he said it was "ghey" to shoot groups with an AR. ;)

Does this ring any bells? :p

P.S.

Nice rifle Kev! :p

Upon returning to Canada, when quizzed by the border guard, would it be appropriate to describe these as "skipping rope handles....Perhaps?"
