It is important you buy the one sold by electroline365 on ebay. He is the maker. he works closely with the RC airplane crowd and his unit has the features you want. The cheap ones are not HD and have a different lens that does not see enough of the subject matter to be useful. I tried some cheap ones and none is useful.

Once you get one, you may wish to make some changes, like delete the date stamp. This utility is perfect for that:

For anyone waiting on this camera, here are a few tips that I have discovered that might make your life a little easier. After messing around, I found that the following was what worked best as far as firmware updating, conversion, and editing.
As posted before, http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1556994 is the place to go for all of the information on this camera. It is a lot to read so if you want the summary of what I found to work for me, here it is:
1) Update the firmware following the instructions at the above link. There are two firmware versions you can choose - pick the MOV firmware instead of the AVI (the avi firmware doesn't allow you to edit the file)
2) Download the User Interface here: http://www.mytempfiles.info/nr16/index.html (the file you want is the first one, Nr16Setup.zip. This allows you to easily change the cameras settings if you want to (you don't need to do this, just if you want to tweak camera settings)
3) Download this free software that will convert your MOV files that you record, into AVI files that are editable. http://sourceforge.net/projects/mp4cam2avi/
4) Once you record a video, convert it from MOV to AVI you can then edit that video easily. Apparently they are working on a firmware update that will allow us to just record in AVI and then edit it without having to do the conversion step but for now, recording in MOV and then converting to AVI seems to be the best way to go.

Hope that saves some of you a bit of time on the learning curve!
 
Here's a tip. Stay clear of AData SD cards. I've bought three 808 #16 cameras - one for me and a couple for other people. Ordered three AData SD cards for the cams and found that they would only record for around one minute before shutting off. At first I thought it was a bad batch of batteries, but after some FAQ reading and tinkering with a Kingston SD card we found that the "no name" AData cards were no good for these cameras. The Kingston works perfect.
 
I've been playing with mine for the last few weeks trying to find the best position on my ball cap for it. Mounting it in the middle is not the best position. I find canting the ball cap up and left slightly works best, especially when using a rifle. Great piece of equipment for the money. Hope to have a video this weekend.
 
Just got mine last week. Bought a PNCY 32gb class 10 and it did not work. Went to a RC forum for info. Looks like the Kingston 4gb class 4 I already have for my sunglasses cam works perfect. Save me a few bucks but too bad it's only 4gb.

Stay away from the class 10 cards. Known for problems. There is a dedicated thread on a RC forum with all the info you need including the latest firmware and FAQ's.

As mentioned before and I have one the Kingston 4gb class 4 works perfect. Maybe more gb is not needed as recording time is around 40min at 7mbps and around 30min at the higher quality 10mbps.
