I switched to keymod over picatiny. My friend at SDTAC did the job and I'm very happy. These KMR are very lightweight vs picatiny rails, very ergonomic and I prefer the look. Theses rifles started their life as regular LMT 14.5 and 10.5.

I added a lot of BCM parts on each AR. BCM charging Handle, grip and for sure KMR. The 10.5 have a sure fire flash hider, bad lever and a micro T1.

The 14.5 have a battlecomp brake aim point pro and the usual BCM stuff.

Nice looking set-ups G-P.

How do these fare against the Noveske NSR Keymods ? I'm not a 100% on the whole keymod craze lately. Anything longer then 13" looks out of place.

The innovative feature on BCM is the attachment on a proprietary barrel nut. The handguard is tight and won't move..... What il like about theses KMR is the fact that they are lighter that picatiny and they fit very well in my hand. Other than that I don't see any real advantage.

For shorter than 13" every brand have a variety of lengths

NSR was the first KM rail available. To index you have to drill a small hole on the upper receiver which is not something I'd do to mine. Some argue this is not necessary but KMR has better design for this.

I have an NSR on my colt 6920.
Yah I put a hole in my upper to index, its ok I plan on keeping my colt the way it is with the nsr, I really love that setup.
