Keystone Overlander

I received it today. It is very well built, a high quality piece for sure. My only complaint so far is the peep sight is extremely small, which I drilled out immediately to a larger size. Also the front sight blade is thicker than I would like. I will try it out first and see how it is. The bolt is very similar to a Cooey 39. I threw some dummy shells in and the trigger is quite light and smooth, but has a ton of travel, If that makes sense. Overall I am very pleased with it, just need some range time to sight in and maybe chase some rabbits with it.

Trip to the range was good. I was glad I drilled the peep outside even now it may be a bit small. The iron sights suck for accuracy, but I still was getting fist size groups with federal bulk. I have a really hard time seeing the target at 50 yards without any help. With an optic I think it would be very accurate, but I am going to.leave it as is. It excells at offhand shooting, I was taking pot shots at clumps of snow out at 50 yards and a bit beyond, hit where I was aiming and the peep makes target acquisition quick. The retracting feed ramp in the receiver is genius and makes it very quick to reload and get another shot off. Overall I am super pleased with my purchase as it works how I wanted. May rig up a single point sling for it and search for a front sight that is far thinner. The front sight is so think it covers a 8.5×11 sheet st 50 yards.
