Khan K200 O/U 12G Double Tap

Over the weekend i took a Khan K200 out for some trap and sporting and something interesting happened.

Somehow when i would fire a round, both cylinders would go off. At first it was a bit of a "what just happened moment", mind you i'm firing Challenger Target load - light load not full on slugs.

Its a single trigger and from what I understand its a mechanical trigger not inertia driven.

Could it just be a weather thing? it was -9 outside

It's the third time I use the firearm, i bought it new with the box in July, and to date i've put maybe 150 or so rounds of target load through it.


Any ideas would be great, and yes I know - should have bought a browning or Beretta.

Did you at least hit the clay?

Doubt its a weather thing. The gun needs to be taken apart and inspected by someone who is qualified to do so. I would not continue to use the gun until it is properly repaired
 
No it's a cheap made gun thing. Had the same thing when I was a real young guy with a brand new Italian fancy looking O/U Pole Gardone. It went back same day to Canadian Tire and got exchanged for an 11-87 which also broke first day out with the first round fired(forend split in two half full length). Never owned either makes again since. Learned my lesson finally after numerous failures. Buy quality!!

Christ spank is there any remington you have not broke :)
 
It's called doubling. I have seen K80 Kreighoff's do it, usually with a release trigger. A friend of mine's Caesar Guerini Invictus started doing it along with his wife's Syren. Both are somewhere in Ontario waiting for warranty work. Your Khan is brand new. It should be fixed on warranty. there is definitely something wrong with it.
 
It likely still has a inertia block or else what would stop it from doubling?

It may seem like it is doubling but your finger under recoil is likely making it go off you can’t control this hence the block.

With a empty gun is there a way you can tell if both hammers are falling?

Maybe try the top barrel first if it is selective just as trouble shooting.


Had a release trigger as mentioned that would do this and also when trying to set it.
 
Khans krals mossberg silver reserves and stevens gold wings all double regularaly. Its a design flaw. Take the stock off. #### the hammers and pull the trigger youll see the metal tab that the trigger moves. Bend it until it works properly. Likely best to send it in for warrenty or upgrade to a better built gun
Hitting less than 20% youre either new and could use a coach or the gun isnt shooting to where youre looking. Try shooting at a large piece of cardboard at 30 yards. See if the majority of the pattern hits the target. I have a tristar that had 2' hight difference at 30 yards between upper and lower

Yes one!! Only because I never fired a round through it! Couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger on it and risk it breaking so I sold it instead.
