Couple of questions. Does anyone use these and like them? I have a Maverick 88 12 gauge pump that I would like put one of these pads on. Is it the same pad as the Mossberg 500?

I have a kick-eez grind-to-fit pad on my model 500 slug gun. It's a huge improvement over the factory pad. Take Grousers advice to find out which if any precision fit pad will work with your Maverick.

how much are these going for in Canada? theyre ~$40 or so in the US so im guessing around $50 here?

if its that much for just a pad id be inclined to put that money towards a Knoxx Spec-Ops recoil reducing stock instead.

kick-ezz is soft but limbsaver is softer. I've used both. Haven't priced them lately but limbaver works better at recoil reduction and was a little cheaper to boot.

I saw it at the local gun shop for $59.95. that's why I wanted to make sure it was worth it.

thats half the price of a Knoxx Compstock or SpecOps stock, and they come with a foreend as well.

ive never owned a KickEez, or a Limbsaver - best pads i have are the Remington SuperCells and a couple of Pachmayr Decelerators on some older 12ga SxSs.
IMHO neither hold a candle to the Knoxx recoil reducing stocks. just avoid the NRS versions which are gutted of all their recoil-reducing components.

not trying to push you either way just putting the idea out there. i remember that i was pretty disappointed with the quality of my Mossberg 500 synthetic stock so if i was looking to spend $60 on a pad id be more inclined to look at a complete stock replacement. the Mossberg 500 stocks will fit, although im not sure the forends will - i believe the Maverick went through a redesign from one action bar to two, and im not sure if the newer ones will fit the Mossberg forends or they still dont.

Hmmm

Good idea! I like that, it would serve many purposes, lessen recoil, adjustable stock, easier to handle for 3 gun matches and look good. Glad I posted here.
