these are nice ans soft and take up recoil. but they are sticky. You might ant some "slick eez" ...sort of a laquer topcoat for the kickeez pad that reduces the fabric snag

I grind to fit my own Kick-eez pads to shoot skeet with. I find they grind better than Limsaver. I have 1 limsaver on a gun and it is ok but i I like the kick eez better. I order from Brownells in U.S. Take a look at the sporting clay model also. It has a sloped top which makes snap shouldering easier for some shooters. I like that one.
All this talk made me want to take a look, and I'm starting to consider getting one for myself... I'm looking to build a custom stock for an Ithaca, and I'd rather not have the recoil pad stick out too far. Does anyone know the rough effectiveness of a 1/2" pad vs a 1-1/8" pad? The All-Purpose Grind-To-Fit is offered in both thicknesses, but thinner is better for me, provided it still reduces recoil.
