Just in case this was a real question..
The SPM doesn't have a slide release, so removing the spring assist could allow the gun to just slide open if tilted up slightly.
Thanks for the reply. It was a serious question. I am not a fan of spring assist pumps

Yes, I get that. Not sure if I would like it or not, as I haven't shot one myself yet...
I think it's something I could get used to. All the customers who have bought one seem to like it.
I have one of these and they do not have an action lock so the spring helps to keep it in battery
Some people don’t like the fact the action doesn’t lock but it works fine
I have a Canuck recon 2 that is similar to this as it is spring assisted as well and also doesn’t have an action that locks

If i were to buy one it would be for range fun and actions must be kept open on the range when not on station.
Using chamber flags on each station would just aggervate me lol
