But in answer to these questions. There are no records for serial numbers/years, just a general time period. By the serial number, it was made while Frank Tobin was still in business so I would guess 1910-1915 for this gun but that is just my guess. You cannot use modern loads off the shelf. In Canada, you can buy Kent Gamebore which are 2 1/2" low pressure loads designed for vintage guns. You may find them in stock at the odd place or anyone who sells Kent shells can likely order them in. Or you can reload as already mentioned. A value cannot be given because nothing is known about condition such as if it is original finish, any pitting in the bores, any dents in the barrels, is the action tight on face, is the opening lever right of center or left of center like many Tobins are, any cracks in the wood etc. However, value is not high on these guns unless it is a higher grade model. We need pics and an accurate description of condition, not just an "in good condition for the age".
