KIDD ruger 10/22 SR22 parts are in stock finally

Me too! I've got a 10/22 built with all new parts, Dlask receiver, all Kidd internals, Kidd 20" stainless match barrel and a custom maple/walnut benchrest stock from Don Stith. Weaver T36 scope mounted in Burris Zee rings. No where close to 3 grand. And before LA whines about weight, yes it is heavy but I doubt you know the reason why.

Ill fill in, oh man thats so heavy, how you gonna even shoulder that. Can't imagine carrying that around in the field, what are you going to do, drag a bench around with you so you can shoot it?

Am I doing it right?

The most that I have spent on a build was $1800 and that included a made to order Shilen barrel and reprofiled Kidd receiver. Most complete after market builds (no Ruger parts) end up around $1500. The Canadian dollar can have a big impact on cost though.

i have my cost break down of the 2 i made from a couple years back, here they are for cost comparison.
the prices have shipping and taxes added on already and if the part was imported exchange added as well.
even with adding $200 per gun for scope and rings both are still under $1500.

Just received my order last week, hesitated to buy one item and out of stock already. You snooze you loose hopefully Fabsports re stocks fairly quickly?

first off, it doesnt count if youre not starting with an SR22 (not the 10/22) the cost is dramatically different.. as is the canadian dollar difference (50% when you account for markup and special ordering KIDD stuff).
i guess if youre ordering custom uppers/lowers maybe, but the SR comes with a good heavybarrel already threaded and a decent receiver that has a great milspec kind of look and feel to it.

SR22 = $749 IF you can ever find one. i got mine for 650 at phoenix indoor range, the last one, no more stock coming, out of the delivery of 5 that they got from placing an order for 25 originally.. theyre in serious short supply)
POWER CUSTOM match bolt
Timney trigger group
Rails
Muzzle brake
Buttstock (Magpul or similar, to taste)
KIDD springs/guide rods (two sets in case of loss/wear since they take 3 or 4 months to source up here in canada usually)
Scope rings (I like vortex TRXHAC some of the best and most expensive available)
titanium extractor, firing pin, etc for replacement parts.
a couple drum mags.( i had to buy four in order to get one that works reliably and one that works semi reliably, two were garbage).
Charging handle (also kidd, work an effing mint)
IDF type angled foregrip and thumbgrip
45 degree mount for offset front reddot
magpul single point sling attachment

Then add a couple optics of your choice, a cheapass millet BMS scope or a decent vortex diamondback at least, and a reasonable reddot will run you $500 to $750 combined even used will be close to that...

Then throw the whole mess into a pelican custom cut foam gunbox for transport, display, and sale. ($225 or so if you get a deal online)

Wow you necro a almost a year ago post.

And all that money and you don't touch the barrel. Nobody cares about the mods that nobody else wants. You put in a MATCH bolt, and match trigger but no MATCH barrel?
