Is the Kidon pistol to carbine kit available in Canada.?

All jokes aside, my Google-Fu only shows dealer posts from 2016.
Sorry.
Try North Sylva since they may have been the original importers or can likely get you one.
Wolverine and Canada Ammo also had them listed back in 2016.
Worst case, the Kidon maybe been replaced with the KPOS.

This was the first I heard of them. didnt go over to well ?....discontinued.?...to expensive or just didnt work ?

Lots of video's of it in the US, but nothing from canada.

I guess I'm Johnny come late to the party, LOL

I ordered mine from the US. It was shipped from Israel to me and is presently siting with Canadian Border Services (5 days). I was told it can take up to 15 days, their service target. If I don't see it clear by then I can have it traced.I also ordered the case for it and it arrived last week.

I don't see a reason why it won't be let in but who knows. I do expect it to attract duty and GST/PST. PM me if you want to know who I ordered it from. The company has the items shipped direct from Israel by air - free shipping.

I got the inserts for a M&P 5" and for my Walther PPQ M2 Match. I intend to order an insert for the 92M1A1 - assuming the kit gets in.

I plan on using the set up for IDPA PCC Division.

ok, thanks Bob. Sounds like an undertaking to get it here. I was looking for something that was in stock in canada.

I really liked the concept of it. I think I'll research it a bit more before making a decision.

Buying one is just as easy from the US as it would be ordering one from Canada. Buy it and they ship it. My only concern is the item may be stopped at the border. If it was imported in 2016 I assume it will get in now. I ordered it on Nov 20th left Israel on Nov 21 and arrived in Canada on the 24th by air. I have had the same type of service from Canadian retailers as well.

I purchased a NP762 "sig clone" after seeing this video.
How cool would that be, to have it in a carbine.!
A 762x25 has way more distance and power than a 9mm. Its just about the same as a 357mag.

I think it would be worthy of this carbine kit. I could easily do 150 yards & certainly out to 200

lone ranger as I mentioned above I would suggest you wait until I see if my purchase clears Canada Border Services. I expect it to but....

Great news! My kit was released from Canada Border Services this morning ( Actually 15 minutes from now or 2 hours and 45 minutes ago - time difference LOL) It should arrive here in Terrace by Wednesday or Friday at the latest. lone ranger you should be good to go. I will set out the full costs to my door once it arrives. I will have it at the range next Saturday and do a report as to how it all works out in a separate thread. I have the adapter for the PPQ 5" and the M&P Pro coming. I likely will just install the PPQ adapter first.

Is there a good supply of non corrosive 762x25 these days?

OK Canada Post dropped off my Kidom today. Not sure why or how but there was no Taxes or Import duties attached to the delivery. It may be coming later. Total cost for the kit and bag came to $797.94 Cdn. (Includes carrying Case) at my door. Shipping was free. It shipped from Israel Nov.21 by air.

I'll post pictures and provide a run down of the assembly in a separate thread with tomorrows range experience. I will say the $#@# video on their site leaves out a few things you may run into while assembling. The video is worth watching though and I suggest anyone ordering a Kidon would be well advised to watch it several times before attempting the assembly. The Manual that comes with the Unit is pretty much useless. I am an idiot when it comes to mechanical devices which is why I seldom try to extract information out of manuals. Especially ones which claim to be easy to follow.

It took my about three hours to get the damn thing assembled properly. Once I solved all the minor issues or rather nuances of the assembly it really is easy to do. Once you realize no one mentioned you had to release the charging handle BEFORE inserting the gun on the rails of the forward assembly.

I ordered the adapter for both the PPQ 5" Match and the M&P 5" Pro. The adapter for the PPQ doesn't want to seat properly and will be returned tomorrow for a replacement. The M&P Pro adapter worked perfectly and it will that pistol that likely used the most often. I'll do a step by step procedure over the week-end. I think I probably either missed or did not realize the steps you must do as you assemble the unit. Once all the lights go on it is just about as easy as the company's video suggests. You have to remember the kit is made of polymer so you may find it helps to push your tongue hard into your right cheek while assembling.

The kit speaks to quality and I am impressed with the assembled kit with the Pro installed. Shouldering it reminds me of the times pent with a good friends CZ EVO. With the stock in it's collapsed position it feels really made for close quarter shooting such as you find in IDPA and IPSC. It is a handy rig. The design suggests whoever drew this unit up had some knowledge as to what was needed for close in work. But enough of a teaser I'll try get my report on paper by the week-end.

Merry Christmas everybody. Santa came early

Bob
