Killer Mountain Goat

In his book "Sixguns" Elmer Keith described a similar problem that he solved to his satisfaction with a SA .45 Colt with a 250 gr bullet backed by 40 grs of black powder. I thought the performance was pretty poor, but the billy came in second place, which is an important consideration.

All I see is another reason why people should be armed with a sufficient caliber/power but still packable handgun when they are in remote wilderness areas.

If I was out for an afternoon hike with my family and if it was legal for me to carry I would have had my 4.25" barreled Glock 29 in 10mm loaded with 200gr Beartooth WFNGC's @ 1200fps.
