Kimber 1911 22LR

I quite agree. I have had one for over a year now and it hardly ever comes off my 1911 frame. Its just so much fun to shoot and accurate as well. Maybe not as accurate as a Marvel Unit which guarantees under 1/2" at 50 yards.

The Kimber fits on my Norc frame really well and looks great. It obviously needs relatively hot ammo to cycle it but most average high velocity stuff will work fine. The mags are large and easy to handle. I would have preferred metal mags but hey, everything is plastic now a days.

I have nothing negative to say about them other than it has increased my ammo costs. I now shoot more .22LR than ever before.:p

Kimber 1911 22Lr Pistols,Can anyone share some info about these, are you happy with it etc. Are they the same size as the big boys.

Are you looking for info on a .22 conversion or a dedicated .22?

I picked up a Kimber Rimfire Target pistol (not conversion) a few months ago and it's very nice. Dimensionally exact to a 1911 but at about half the weight. Seems to cycle fine with cheap AE ammo and is more accurate than I am.

I went with the complete pistol instead of the conversion due to the weight savings. This way my wife and kids have an easier time with it. If that's not a consideration and you own a 1911 already the conversion is probably the way to go.

does not stay open on last round, true... this is a function of the mags... they are designed that way, unfortunately
I have the rimfire target, and I am pretty happy with it.
but it took me about 1000 rounds to break it in... YMMV
