Wondering if anyone has seen kimber 22 classic rifles anywhere for sale in Canada? I know they started making them again in the early 2000's up to at least 2011 but but not sure if they are still in production or if they were ever avaliable in Canada. I can't seem to see them on the Kimber website.
I'm looking to see if anyone can tell me how they shoot and what the finish is like with them.
Also might be in the market for a good used one if it comes down to it.
Thanks!

Not a lot of love here for Kimber, I found 2 beautiful 82s so asked about them. Very little feedback. On rimfire central there was more info. I was not impressed so passed on them. I would go to RC and see what was up for info on the classic. AJ

There are two types of Kimber .22 rifles. Both are out of production. The earlier Model 82 was made in Oregon and has acquired a minor collectors status. When the company relocated to NY they produced the redesigned Kimber Classic. I owned a Classic during my "rimfire phase" and while a handsome looking rifle it did not perform as well as the Cooper Arms Model 36 I also owned a the time.

Thanks guys. Good info... I will check out R.C.
Clay , this is good as I have a Cooper 57M and Anschutz 1416 so maybe I will start looking harder at a nice sako 94 for my next purchase and leave the Kimber unless I find one real reasonable.

If you do locate one try the safety. The earlier versions like mine had a two-position wing safety and Kimber eventually changed to the tradition 3 position safety similar to their centrefire rifles. With the rifles you have I'd be hard pressed to add a Kimber unless you wanted it strictly for hunting.
