Ive been shopping for a while for a good .308 rifle for long range shooting and ive read about alot of rifles. But the one i can barely find reviews or anything useful is the kimber 8400 adv tac. Anyone here can tell me if i shoot consider it or just keep looking?

Sorry if it has been asked before, internet is kinda crappy in good old farnham.

Thank you.

I owned the kimber tactical which is very much the same rifle and I reviewed it on this forum. Very nice fit and finish etc but I think there ate better choices.

If you want opinions on other options I suggest you provide some information such as budget and features that you want or need. Asking if there are better rifles out there is too general of a question.

True. Well my budget for the rifle alone is around 2k$. Im very open for the stock (ie adjustable cheek etc) but i would prefer with a detachable magazine. Muzzle brake isnt realy something i am considering for a .308 and I want a heavy barrel for sure.

Hope this narrows it down a bit!

The stock is great but it will take a lot of work to install an aftermarket DBM ( I asked ). A better option is to buy a Rem R5 and drop it into an AICS 2.0 or, to stay more within budget, simply get aftermarket bottom metal and an AICS mag.
