Just got it a few days ago. Its a stainless synthetic. I have a burris 3x9 on it with leupold rings. Shoots quite well. I had a bunch of different loads from the past so I took them all to the range.
180 sierras 3/4 "
125 sierras 3/4 "
165 hornady 1 1/4"
180 hornady 2 1/8
150 sst 1"

All groups 3 shots @ 100 yards clean barrel. I was very happy to see this performance without doing any load workup. I am hoping it will like 150 or 130 tsx as a high altitude caribou hunt is on the books again this year.

How much weight would I save with tallys and a leupold lightweight scope?
 
I forgot to mention that all bullets printed to a very close point of impact. Thats from 125gr to 180gr.

Why the vx II instead of the lightweight? Although the reticle would be great for sure.
 
The 2-7x33 is only 1.7 oz heavier then the 3-9 Ultralight, but offers 25% more FOV, and longer eye relief, bigger eye-box. I figure if I can't hit it on 7x using the LR reticle, then I'm too far away for my .308...
