Got a new Longmaster Classic in .308 and did a 15 shot break-in. Started load development but only tried two different loads with 3 shot groups at
100m. One measured 0.59" and the other 0.40".
This rifle has very nice wood / blued action / 24' stainless fluted barrel that measures 0.68" at the muzzle. Kimber says it has a match grade trigger, chamber, and barrel. Weighs 7.4lbs and is nicely balanced. Wholesale has these listed at 1200.00 plus GST.

JEC,
I have the 22/250 version, it shots five of just about anything I can close the bolt on into half inch. Gotta like that.:D Stuff it likes is a little better.
If you have nice wood you can really bring it to life by rubbing Tru-Oil into the Kimber factory oil finish. It lights it up real nice.

Who sells that oil. It is nice wood and I'd like to try it. I'm not sure how long I will play with this rifle. I am getting a new 7mm-08 Rem CDL tomorrow and have a Cooper 260 on order that should be here in May. Good thing I'm retired!!!

I would post pics but I need instruction on how to post pics on this site. Once I learn how... pics will come because I am retired and have enough time to post using the "dial up" service that Telus provides to rural customers.

Just about every gunshop I've ever seen has Tru-oil around. It's one of those old stand-bys. Easy to use too.
