does anyone know of any good youtube videos or threads or any links or information on field strippinga kimber stainlessII in 9mm? any help would be appreciated.

It's a 1911. They are all the same. The only different parts for the 9mm as to the .45 or other calibers have nothing to do with field strip or complete disassembly. Any video for any 1911 will do.

It's not different from the original. Standard 1 piece guide rod and the "special wrench" is a standard item included in a variety of other 1911 packages. You can use your fingernail to release tension on the guide rod spring with practice. Your Kimber came with a booklet on disasembly/assembly and also plenty of info is available with a simple Google search.
