Well after 8 months of waiting for my new S&W 1911 to return from warranty the good guys at reliable are giving me a full credit against a Kimber Customer II target (adjustable sights). Soooooo any one out there have one of these puppies and if so how do you like it (give me the good, bad and the ugly). If anyone else would care to comment on this pistol, please feel free, the more feedback the better!

Kimber made sharp looking 1911, I have shot several different model and I LOVE them but just don't have enough green in the bank. They are well worth the money for what you pay for. Great choice.

I've got a custom target II that I've put about 2000 rounds through. I really really like this gun a lot, makes me look like a hero. Nice to shoot, sights are nice...... lots great about it. I can answer any specific questions you have.....
 
Congrats on your purchase bollox! Thanks for the feedback trigun! I have a question for you lunch box. Did you have a break in period with your custom II or did it shoot jam free right out of the box? Sounds like the accuracy is excellent right from the first round!
 
my Kimber SS II has more then 5K rnds and never ever had a problem, personally I can call it a five star 1911!
100% accurate out of the box, tight tolerances btw slide-frame, very well done pistols
 
Well, picked it up today and took it to the range and ran 300 rounds thru it...EXCELLENT right out of the box!! Shot accurate at 7M, 15M and 25M. I am very impressed and give this pistol 4.5 stars out of 5, (I deducted 1/2 a star because I had a hard time lining up the sights against a black target...I ordered a high vis front sight which will make this pistol a 5 out of 5). Thanks everyone for your feedback and insight.
