Kimbers aren’t made in Michigan.

Those are two separate companies.

Montana Rifle Company was started by a gunsmith who lived in Montana, company sold and moved to Michigan. Kimber started out in Oregon, then moved to New York. Then moved to Alabama.

I'm confused. Is Kimber out of Montana or Alabama? Moreover, I really don't care for the appearance of the rifle (effing percision stock), I'm a Fudd! A classic synthetic stock is OK, but those big clumsy stocks are just plain nasty.

I absolutely hate the grip on that stock and can do without the muzzlebrake, otherwise, a nice rifle.

It's a fugly rifle........mauser action on a precision stock. Hmmm, maybe they should lazer engrave a picture of Dylan Mulvaney on that beautiful rear stock.

Does it not look Like a Take - off of the "KIMBER MONTANA" of "New york" in my Case .

i talkn about the Safety, the Bolt an etc. mostly only ?

Kimber was originally out of Oregon. Eventually bought out and moved east. Moved again down south, though I'm not sure if it was Alabama or not. MRC was a small niche rifle building company in Montana, sold rifles and actions. They were great actions for the money, bought a couple myself. - dan
