I read that Kimber is no longer imported. Is this true? And if it is, does this mean for good, or just temporarily?

I think it's temporary. Kimber moved manufacturing to another state and they seem to be focused on their pistols. I don't think many rifles are being produced.

All's I know is I got the last select grade in 280ack made . I had the serial number checked by the head engineer . Will go up for sale in a year or two ....

They no longer have a Canadian distributor. That may change. You can buy one on Gunbroker and have it imported if there's something you want. Prophet River and I Run Guns can help with that.

What do you mean - GOT it sorted out ? RJ

Well Jim. I spoke with them a while ago. They said they had a new importer but they were workout the details. Can’t remember who they said right at the moment. But maybe that has fallen through. Give them a call Monday and maybe they can help you.

Selling or asking? Some pretty funny ads out there

Asking prices for used from dealers are pretty much new less a 100.00 or so from new.
So it's hard to say what used guns are really worth.
I guess it depends how much a person wants to move it or buy it.
Generally I think they should be at least 20% less than new .

If the ee is any indication a hunter is worth as much as a Montana and Montana’s are worth as much as they were new.

I haven’t seen one on there for less than I paid for a new hunter 2 years ago (~1300)

A bit surprised yours hasn’t sold yet Slimbo

I imagine when they return we will be begging for today’s ee prices unfortunately

i friggen love my kimber montana m84........ but im affraid i will wear the stock out sooner than later (the barrel) , an i have anther barrel for it in a 308 tho..... so im trying not to think about it

What's the going rate on used Kimbers? Hunters and Montana's ...just curious :)

I bought one at the Chilliwack show few years ago.
Scoped with a Leupold VXIII , four full boxes of ammo plus one partial claimed to have had less than one box fired.
Lovely wood, nice weight and balance, fit and finish exceptional as one would expect (was too nice to take to the dance)
Kimber Super America in 270WSM for $1600.00 all in.
Sold it after shooting (accurate too) a couple boxes through it , less the scope for $2500.
There is a comparable on in the EE for 3k, etc... etc... (my bad this is a Full custom Kimber stalking rifle, my bad)
Either one likes them or they don't, but being a Browning Fan Boy , well that's just me.
From the link posted above , there are 23 stores in Canada including Korth being the distributor.
No idea how old the link is or how accurate.
Besides , Prophet River can import them if one wants to sped lots of Cha-Chinga on them , No ?

Hunters are going for about 1200-1400
Montanas 1800-2400 it seams
classics 1500-2000
classic select from 1800-2500
super America 2200-3000

By the looks of things Kimber is only making the hunter, montana, mountain accent now, no wood stocked rifles anymore
