kimber pro covert II ??

does anyone have a kimber pro covert II ??? or know something about this gun ?

i' m interrested to buy a 1911 pistol commander size and i am looking at different company, like smith & wesson , STI Ranger II , Colt , Para 0rdonnance and kimber .

i you can help me to make a good choice, you re welcome

I was looking at a Colt Lightweight Commander in stainless the other day - very nicely built, good trigger and pretty much all the bells and whistles. It was sitting beside the equivalent Kimber and even though I associate "Colt" with the old days when you paid $7-$1100 for one and then took the gun directly to the gunsmith to spend a thousand or two on it, I thought the Colt was better fitted, better finished and a better gun.

I've done a side-by-side comparison with the Ranger II. The lightweight Colt felt great and, chambered in .38 Super, it shot great too.

While there is nothing wrong with the Ranger II, and I'd still prefer a Series 70 firing pin and Heinie sights, I sure wouldn't turn up my nose at an XSE Lightweight Commander in .38 Super.
