Whats your guys take on the Kimber stainless II? I've seen reviews on the net just want first hand answers.

If i could get a ruger 1911 I would but unfortunately as soon as they go up they are sold.

Thanks
Zach

I have one in 9mm and I love it. It was my first gun and it really set the bar high. It's a really accurate gun and built very solidly.

If I didn't have an SR1911, I wouldn't be against the idea of getting another Stainless II in .45. In fact, if one came up for the right price, I probably wouldn't hesitate to sell the Ruger and upgrade to it.

1200 rounds in 45 for me

Mate, it's been a great ride so far

I just wish i hadn't done the dummy drag mark thing, on the stainless it really shows

both Kimber and Ruger are very good choices, personally I'd go always for the Kimber.
If you want a new Ruger or Kimber, you can check with Roger at Shooter's Choice in Arrowwood AB, he has both in stock and his adv price include GST.

First thing to do on a 1911 is put in the drag mark, tell them it's the pistol equivalent of the wheel gun cylinder drag mark.

No more worrying about making that silly mark on further dis assembly ;)

Kimber!

I have the Stainless ll in .45 and find it an excellent gun. Have about 2000 rounds through it. Had Colts before and I believe the Kimber is nicer and better made. IMHO.
