Someone must have one of these on the forum?

I heard an internet rumor that the .22 Kimber made in New York was partially designed after the Mauser 340 and came with a Model 70 type safety.

I know the Oregon ones are more collectable, but personally I would prefer one of these later ones instead.

All Kimbers' come with a model 70 type safety. Not sure about the Mauser design. Doubt there are too many Super Americas in .22 in Canada. They sell for 2k$ plus.

Not all Kimbers come with model 70 safety the model 82 does not I have a super American 82 and a few other versions The K 22 made from the early 00's to the late 90's has the claw extractor and the model 70 saftey I have one those in a sporter . I prefer the model 82's . As for the K 22 super American there was one at gagnon sports with a v3 1.5x5 scope a fewomths back for $2.500 it was a consignment gun so take 20% off which puts it in the correct price range 2000 less 300-350 for the scope rifle bare 17-1800$

Seen and handled one in Calgary. I know there's at least one in the country. I wouldn't sit watching the EE waiting for one to come up anytime soon.
If you're interested in Mauser derivatives, Unique out of France made an exceptionally beautiful little sporter nearly mirroring a MM410b.

As said the Kimber Americas made in NY do have the M70 type safety. Here's a Super America I used to own:

I have owned two Oregons and at least two Yonkers "America" rifles. So what replaced them? A Cooper.
