IMHO, there's nothing like a Cooper in the price range. Kimbers can be good shooters but the cooper will be. I'm very biased though.

The cooper is single shot and the kimber has a floorplate. Both are great rifles, I think the Kimber has a better trigger.

Never shot a factory rifle with a nicer trigger than a Cooper and I have shot a lot of rifles, kimber included.

I think the same thing the trigger is nice to work with but it does not have a guarantee to shoot like a cooper

Never shot a factory rifle with a nicer trigger than a Cooper and I have shot a lot of rifles, kimber included.

The kimber trigger adjusts very easily to a crisp light pull, the best factory trigger I have ever worked with. The Cooper trigger has a little different set-up and can be quite finiky to deal with. You can lighten it a it but the sear engagement is tougher to deal with. $$ to donuts, I have messed with both triggers and I ike the Kimber trigger FAR better. I have also shot alot of rifles, and there are very few rifles that I don't try to tune the trigger up.

I have a couple of Cooper Rimfire rifles a 57 and an SVT. I thought their triggers were mighty fine as they were set from the factory and haven't felt the urge to manipulate either of them. FS
