ive been seroiusly considering buying a kimber warrior, can people who own or owned them before chime in and let me know the good, bad, and ugly about it?

anything you didnt like about them?

For the short short time I owned one.. I loved it.. Solid and tight, shot very good.

Finish could be a bit better, but I never noticed any problems..

I own one - and LOVE it.

The finish is a little weak though - not the fit, but the actual coating they use isn't real durable. Holster wear shows up quick. If I could only get the sights out, I'd refinish it in Duracoat/Armacoat/Gunkote, but MAN those suckers are in tight!

The only thing I didn't like was the grips - I swapped them out for a set of Mil-tac G10 laminated grips. Oh, and replaced the MSH with a magwell.

Trigger is good -I would estimate about 4 lbs, and crisp. No creep at all.

Eats all my handloads - ball and FMJ with no issues.

I think it has a bit of a 'melt' on it - no sharp edges to speak of. The literature mentions that the Desert Warrior has a 'carry melt' done to the edges, but it appears as though the Warrior does as well, even though it's not mentioned.

You might have trouble finding a holster - the only one I could find that worked was a Blackhawk Serpa. The rail isn't really compatible with a lot of holsters.

Overall, I LOVE it. Very accurate and smooth. Much nicer than my Para 16-40 or even (gasp) my USP. :)

It's a Kimber. Buy it shoot 500 rounds to get it broken in and then brag to the world how much you love it.

I have owned as many as 6 at one time and they all have been great.

It was my first handgun, still have it, still my favorite. WELL over 5000 rounds down the pipe, never one FTF, jam, problem, issue, ect. Excellent gun, you can't go wrong.

I have owned one now for about a year and half. It has made all the other pistols in my safe just keepsakes now. I shoot it all the time, love the gun. I have never had a malfunction and it chews up any ammo I give it. Love the sights and I even love the grips, was at a match this summer and it rained heavy. The gun was soaked and I never felt the gun moved an inch and no show of rust.

Buy one and be happy.

Have one. Still.

Don't have allot of rounds through it because I was switching from a 226 in 40 to the Warrior.

Got a leather holster for concealed carry style from High Noon, I think......

What I found is that if your hands are slightly oily from cleaning or like such, it is hard to get a grip to rack the slide. Thet will slide/slip a little.

Can't comment on the finish for durability. Hasn't seen enough action.

Trigger is about 4.5 lbs. the Raptor II has a 3.5 lb trigger pull. Very nice. But the Raptor II is a custom gun and the most accurate gun I have shoot to date.

When I get set up for IDPA and IPSC, the Warrior is my gun of choice.
