Kimbers and Remingtons don't Shoot.

Can't wait to save up enough money to have a Cooper 'Smith work over these guns, they may be able to tidy them up.

Shamu that can't even go SUB-MOA at 450 yards.

And a dirty Kimber that don't shoot for ####. Also, 9 twist doesn't stabilize 75's

How does the ammo feed with the Kimber ? Any problems ? I heard they had some problems in that area.

I bought an issue of "Rifleshooter" that had a review of the Kimber and the review was complete dribble. I don't think the author had ever done a review before as the article didn't actually say anything that wasn't on the Kimber site.

I am interested at the syn stainless lightweight model.

Yes, I could agree to that. I have a factory Remington 700 Varmint, mounted with good bases, rings & optics. Dispite experiments with about a half dozen handloads, I coming to the conclusion that 1 MOA is a very unusual day for this rifle. And realistically it's most likely a 1.5 MOA rifle on most days. My Wichita 1375 actioned target rifle continually out performs it, with hardly any effort using handloads. Before the fall, I want to have a new custom barrel purchased for the Remington 700.

Nice "CGN" groups BTW...when you're ready to sell them both and step-up to a Cooper you'll make one-hole groups instead of three. At 450 yards no doubt.

I watched a cgn member the other day put 10 consecutive rounds into MOA at 300 yards with a kimber 22250. I hate to be the one that says it. But maybe its not the rifle? Maybe it is? Some 9" twist rates don't like 75gr bullets other rifles spit them fine

This Montana had feeding problems but nothing some needle nose pliers and a screw driver couldnt sort out. Don't be afraid to buy one, jump in head first and tackle the problems as they come to you.

Have you bedded, floated and tuned the trigger?

MOA with a 22-250 at this distance? That's marginally acceptable results for a capable cartridge and a supposedly accurate rifle IMO. Now if this rifle had a long hunting history of popping many coyotes at one sitting, on hot summer days I could understand this performance level.

My Rem 700 Varmint in .223 shoots cloverleafs (sub 1/2 MOA at 100) with some factory ammo. I dont even like it that much, but its too accurate for me to give up.
