kineti-tech or tacticool .22 barrel shrouds

I have an sr22 that I pick at. wanted to make a short barrel version for plinking and for others to try etc. had it done in battle worn burnt bronze cerakote and made a few other mods. vortex sparc on top and now to shorten it. yes I know this is a bit much for a .22 but I don't have the balls to play around with colors and nonsense on a 2k ar. Question....has anyone seen, purchased, installed or own a barrel shroud for sr22 ? I see two suppliers online with various designs. Rifle will have a dlask 11in barrel and a shroud receding into handguard a touch is the look I'm going for. just curious if anyone has any knowledge or experience, quality, etc
 
I have one of the Kineti-tech shrouds and I am impressed with the quality:

That is nice. Thanks very much for the reply glad to hear they are good quality....... Airwolf yes thread on with no added length.... Maybe a hair just from thickness of metal but they are marketed as not adding length. Thanks again Tom the kineti tech have nicer options in my opinion. What length is that barrel? 8.5?
 
I just went with a spike tactical. With the 8.5" Dlask barrel my muzzle was recessed in at lease 3" even a Dlask XB1 ( flaming pig copy ) was too short.

Yeah thats the look I'm going for. I'm thinking the shroud may fill up the handguard nicely but until I'm back home to measure I can't say for sure the exact internal diameter of the stock handguard. Thanks for the info and pics will be finishing this project soon........ And that flag in avatar is causing some serious home sickness lol

1.750", is what my ID of the factory handguard measure out as. I fit a larger 1.5" OD fake suppressor under. Filled it up more than the 1.25" OD Spikes.

But thats a 8.5" barrel with a 6" ish extended fake suppressor. Theres a model spikes that slips over and doesn't add any length. But only for .750 dia barrels.

Don't feel bad I'm Albertian living in Nova Scotia.
 
Awesome thanks for the info appreciate it. I'm looking at options as I just got an email back from kineti tech saying no shipping north. Tacticool 22 does so maybe that route. You just saved me a week wait time with those dimensions thanks
