Hi guys, I'm thinking of selling my Colt king cobra, 6" .357 nickel varietie and one of my kimber gold match 2 1911 but I have no idea what I can list them for. Both are in excellent condition. No paperwork for either but I think I have the boxes still, both purchased new. Minimal rounds and total safe princesses. Not into pistols much any more.

If any of you have any insight for me please pm me.

I hope to post them soon for sale.

Thanks in advance all.

Merry Christmas

Matt

Please note the KC was never made in Nickel. http://www.coltfever.com/King_Cobra.html

My Standard Catalog of Colt Firearms would seem to confirm the Coltfever site. If a King Cobra is nickle plated it was done after it left the factory.

As to your pricing inquiry, there is a matte stainless Cobra in tomorrow's Switzers auction. The online pre-bidding was at $2100 the last time I looked. I personally think that's crazy for what is essentially a SS Trooper V with a full underlug but hey, auction results are crazy sometimes.

If it helps I sold my stainless king cobra with 2 grips both factory original wood and rubber in less than a day on the ee. Listed at 1950 but I let it go for $1800.

BPS maybe?......or home polished? The box, if original, should give that info.

Yes check the box. If it is the factory bright stainless, it will fetch a few hundred more I suspect. If you bought new, you'll do well.

1.5 years ago, i had got my hands on 2x colt king cobras
I had no interest in them, so test shot them and resold
I wanted quick sales, had listed price to 1500$/ea
One month between each ads
Both we’re gone under 3 hours, first one actually took 15 mins

I would have been all over one of those at that price!! One thing of note, they may look like a Python but they certainly dont feel like one when you shoot them! LOL!

100%....nice looking guns but fit and finish and action is not comparable to a python. I was trying to make due after I sold my blue python but just not in the same category!
On a positive note I finally bought my grail nickel python from a really nice member here ☺

And if you weren't such
A cheap muthafunk you would have had it before me lmao

Ok maybe not nickel plated buts it's silver and it's factory condition, never dicked with.

Probably stainless then, was told it was nickel by the last guy who begged to buy it for $600 bucks, it's been I'm my safe unshot for 20+ years, I've had it for a long time but pistols don't float my boat.....
