They don't mention where the stuff is actually manufactured. Would you like to guess where that likely is?
 
For the price I would rather buy Leupold or Bushnell Elite. Unless the King scopes are 100% Canadian made I see no advantage the info on their site is very limited and makes you wonder.
 
Hmm "King" Seems to me when you see the "King" named attached to tools it is a cheap knock of made in China. I really have no way of knowing if the 2 lines are related in any way.
 
The King scopes are not related to "King Tools" The King optics company/distributor is based in New Brunswick. Scopes are Canadian designed and engineered. The glass allegedly comes from the same European plants as Zeiss or Leicia is what i was told about them.

Lifetime warranty. The glass is clear, no doubt about that.
 
Thank you for the Clarification. The web site dose not seem to have any real clear pictures and lacks any sort of good descriptions. I hope that is just because they are new and starting out. Where in New Brunswick can I get a first hand look at these Optics? I would like to see a local company do good.

Thats what I would like to know...........plus they don't mention whether they are 1",30mm, or larger tubes.............no mention of 1st or 2nd focal plane................

They are "Canadian designed and Engineered" it says......................that seems pretty vague.........

Until more info is released and the scopes have seen use, I would stay with Leupold,Nightforce, U.S. Optics, and Schmit & Bender..............

I just love the poorly photoshopped Canadian flags on their "Canadian designed" optics. The scopes seem to be the standard Chinese tactical design, and the green tinted lenses also scream Chinese (ala leapers, barska, fitco, ect...). Their nightvision looks quite like Yukon's Belarussian products.
 
I examined a couple of these scopes at a gun show here in Nova Scotia recently. I gave them a good looking over as I was quite curious about them. The owner was running the table and I asked him where the scopes were made. He said "Japan!" On the bottom of the scope tube, in nearly microscopic but clearly legible letters was "CHINA". I put the scope down and walked away. China combined with the BS was enough for me.
 
I've only seen the advertisement pictures, but they looked mediocre. The reticle choices sucked. These aren't cheap scopes, so I figured if they were any good I would have heard about them by now. My gut told me not to waste my time or money.
 
well i just checked the King website.....i grew up about 5 miles away from the contact address on there and i remember that guy was a kayaker and did sea kayaking tours and dabbled in gun things...there's no way there's a factory at that location haha so i'm guessing they are indeed made in china he's not making them at that location that's for sure...i would stay away

Right now I own 3 King Optics scopes and have been nothing but satisfied. I have a 3-9x50 Illuminated mildot on my Savage VF12 .223, and a Hunter model 3-9x40 on a heavy barrel 30-06 and the sniper mildot 6-24x50 illum with target knobs, side parallax and 30mm maintube on my heavy barrel custom built 308. My brother has one on his .300 Win Mag A-bolt and nothing but praise for them. Bright and great at gathering light. Nothing has missed a beat on the range or during deer season last year. While the price is more than your run of the mill Bushnell, the saying that you get what you pay for holds true. So, Gunpro said he liked the scopes in 2006.

And in 2008, he says that he was told that the glass comes from the same factory as Zeiss or Leicia; also that the company is based out of NB, in which he corrected to be NS. Also stated is that the glass is clear. (Still sounds like Gunpro still likes the scopes).

Sullijr, what are you getting at?
 
the point that should be made here is for that kind of money you could easily buy a leupold or almost a NF....who in their right mind would risk spending $1400 on an unproven scope? seriously.
