I thought the fluting was to help with cooling, when engaging that hoard of zombies... Everyone knows that a cool-reticle = a cool-head...

For those that just have to know, the reason given for the fluting on the scopes was that they reduce vibration to allow for faster aiming ....

There's always Scorpion optics if you want to upgrade from a 7-Up bottle duct taped to the receiver.

I have a pic on one of my older computers somewhere of a King Optics scope I found at the range. It was shot in half and someone had left it on the bench with PIECE OF SH*T and an arrow pointed at the scope written on the bench. Must have been pretty pissed to get to the point you shoot your $1000+ scope.
