Sightron is anything but junk. The glass is made in Japan and apparently that's where Nightforce gets theirs from too. While not high end, Sightron scopes provide really good quality for the price. Do some reading and you will see that people generally say the optical quality is almost as good as a Nightforce. Maybe one day I'll get a Nightforce or an S&B and be able to see for myself, but for now reviews on sightron scopes have been anything but negative. I have a SIII 10-50x and am not sorry I purchased it.

+1 to Hirsh Precision as well.
 
Been on a lot of forums...first time I've ever heard anyone call sightron junk.
They are arguably the best scope for dollar spent.

Purchased my Forster co-ax from Hirsch...a1 service.

Since the post is still active.....LOL

I stopped at Better Buy Sports in Halifax a few weeks ago and guess what they have them in stock. The salesman was telling me they are the best scope he has on the shelf, BLABLABLA. SO for the first and last time in my life I took one in my hand and went to the door to look outside. I could not believe it.......Wait........ They really are as bad as everybody is saying. There is an apparent bubble around the circumference of the glass and I could not even see leaves from trees across the street.

I then took a Zeiss Conquest for half the price and did the same and to my surprise I could see leaves and limbs on the tree, not just a fuzzy green thing.

Just my experience.
 
browsing the EE today and noticed somebody selling a Ruger M77 with a king optics scope as a package for $1500. Never heard of the scope so started doing some research and came across this thread! I think I'll be taking a pass on that deal:HR:
 
Please don't go off topic like bad mouthing a solid line like Sightron (not even in the same league ) as I quite enjoy a good laugh about King Optics and can't wait to hear what they are up to recently. Phil.
