King Optics

Did a Google for King Optics. My 'net security program advised against trying to open their website.
Examined one of the low powered scopes recently. Sure looked like an import. Sure wasn't priced like one.

Stony
There has been alot of controversy over "King Optics" to have someone post 1st hand knowledge of the operation is of significant value to the Canadian gun culture.
I had been hoping for some time now that someone such as yourself, someone with easy access to the the manufacturer would step up and post some facts.
The spokesperson for King seems to be real big on dodging the questions when it comes down to the real important 1s.
Thanks for sharing.

No problem, if I was treated well then probably this wouldn't have been posted. Maybe Nick will learn from this and watch what he says to people. What I would like to know is he sells new and used and has a quite a stock of firearms, what does he tell people to use for scopes who buy the cheaper rimfires or a used rifle for not much. Becuse his line of scopes starts at $700 plus. He said my bsa and bushnell were chinese made junk??

That pic has to be the cheesiest photo for a business i have ever seen.
Must have been done using a photo shop nock-off program.
I know of a very nice indoor shooting range in Eastern Ontario that was made
from a former pig barn, but I wouldnt assemble optics in it of any kind .

ATR rick I would love a reveiw of the 1/4 Nightforce......dear Jesus I want one.....

I have used my nightforce for years (3.5/15 50) its a tank and built like one too!

so throw one on a ATR AR and do up a review! oh what is the going rate for the 1/4??

Why should this be deleted, people have asked before about these optics and where the facility is so what is wrong? What I wrote is from my experience with the owner "Nick" and what he said to me and what he showed me is the truth. Also if he went about trying to sell me king optics a different way instead of bashing other manufacturers and my stuff I bought then this would never have come on here. Just wrong business and he also did say my scopes were made in china but I'm sure some part of his were manufactured there.

Sorry Stony,

I didn't mean that this thread should be deleted; I deleted my post because it was more of a rant, and I'm not usually the type to bash anyone/anything.

So here's my 'experience/opinion/view' of King Optics:

I was in his shop, heard his sales pitch, threw his scope across the floor, picked it up, looked through it, seen his assembly area, and came to the conclusion that; KOC products were of no further interest to me;).

I would be more than happy to support a Canadian/Local Optics company with a reasonably priced, good quality product line....which KOC IMHO is not.

He may assemble them in the back of his woodshed in Louisburg, but he told me that the components come from "an overseas supplier".

IMO they looked, felt, and smelled like $50 Hong Kong specials off of Ebay.

With the fluted tube and a name like 'THE PRESIDENTIAL HIGHLANDER SUPER LONG RANGE COMANDER SERIES' it must be worth the $1500 though.... right?!

The cheapest scope I own at the moment is a Burris Fullfied II 3x9x40 and I wouldn't trade it for 2 of those top of the line fluted $1500 KOC jobs.

Just my $.02

Funny that on Wild TV last year, i seem to remember
that orriginaly it was Helgi and Ryan on "Gear Hunters"
that was pitching the King Optic's scopes, now they pitch another company, Burris?
I wonder why the switch.

No problem, I guess I needed to rant some more.

Actually on the wildlife channel on bell channell 389 the still have the king optics ad and then on their ad for the sako or tikka rifle they advertise the burris.

You should not have to wait too long for a review, as I intend to put a NF 1x4 on my CQB AR. For me sites are useless so have ordered a 1x4 in hopes that it will do all I need it to.
Have to wait until after Thanksgiving, I am not in the shop till Tuesday and I will PM pricing to you.

Ruger M77 243. 20 year old rifle. Reconditioned stock. This ol' girl has seen it's share of rifle scabbards, been dropped, drug, used as a walking stick. Reconditioning included a Timney Trigger, Leupold rings, glass bedded, free floated barrel, polished inside and out. A new 50mm objective King Scope is on the way to complete the package, that's why the high rings.

I would take a bushnell 3200 elite over any king optics scope anyday.Optics that have proven themselves for a decent price are much better than a overpriced piece of crap!
