Anyone have any experience with the rifle scopes from a new Canadian company called King Optics? I recently saw some of them at a gun show, they make a 6-24X50 Tactical model with 30 mil tube, side focus and iluminated mil-dot reticle for about $1000.00. The scopes appeared to be made quite well but I have never heard of this company before.

We have a kings optics dealer not too far from my home. A friend of mine has looked through one of the dealers scopes and he said they the optics were really bright and clear. According to the information we could get, the scopes are made in Europe; by what company, god knows? Are they worth the money????

I was also told they have a lifetime warranty which is good BUT being a new company, a lifetime warranty is not much good if the company goes out of business a couple of years down the road. They claim the quality to be on par with companies like Zeiss or Swarovski. The optics did look pretty bright and clear.

Info on Kings optics!

I dropped by the local dealer and asked him a few questions. He said the Optics were made in Finland and the warrantee was lifetime with over the counter replacement. The optics seemed very bright, the clicks of the turrets seemed a bit easy to turn. The reticles were etched on glass and didn't use a wire. So maybe a fellow should have give them a try?http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif

Funny you should mention the turrets;) I thought the same thing, they seemed to turn a little too easy, like on my cheap Tasco Varmint/Tactical scope. Other than this the scope seemed to be made pretty good.

The scopes seemed well made. Maybe if a fellow could pick and chose, he could find a scope with slightly tighter turrets. I wish they could have had bullet drop compensator. A fellow can't get everything I guess. Maybe on a later model.

Right now I own 3 King Optics scopes and have been nothing but satisfied. I have a 3-9x50 Illuminated mildot on my Savage VF12 .223, and a Hunter model 3-9x40 on a heavy barrel 30-06 and the sniper mildot 6-24x50 illum with target knobs, side parallax and 30mm maintube on my heavy barrel custom built 308. My brother has one on his .300 Win Mag A-bolt and nothing but praise for them. Bright and great at gathering light. Nothing has missed a beat on the range or during deer season last year. While the price is more than your run of the mill Bushnell, the saying that you get what you pay for holds true.
