Kingston has gone CrAZy! Please Read

Maybe they could try this but can’t see it working they can make all the bylaws they want but they don’t mean squat till they lay a charge any good lawyer could challenge this and make them look like clowns. I remember our rinky dink council formed a property improvement committee and gave themselves the power to enter onto your property to asses any possible improvements even went as far as allowing themselves into the home with no warrant. It was funny as #### when they came to my brothers house with there little paper showing there powers. He kicked them off the property. When they came back with the police he then told both to kindly produce a warrant or #### off. The officer looked at the committee member and said he is rite moral of the story there committe did not last long

This is how you handle bullies

Years ago in Cambridge the city entered a house without notice or warrant, tore down a staircase for allegedly being too narrow, and left the owner with a large bill for doing so. Story was in The Landowner, magazine of OLA.
IIRC the homeowner said frak this and moved to Costa Rica.

They don't address the elephant in the room (organized crime and gangs) so they virtue signal and attack the most law abiding group in Canada.
Time to tell them "NO". They cant vote our freedom and rite of self protection away. If anything like this passes then its civil disobedience time.

Move to Alberta.

Stand and fight (legally of course)!
If we don't fight them here and now, they'll just take over Canada one city at a time, on province at a time, and it will be too late.

Similarly, in Quebec, many Quebec and out of province gun owner talk/advise of moving out but I see this as the worst possibly response to almost any threat in life.

I’ll send an email, but if a petition with over a 100,000 signatures didn’t make them stop and think then obviously nothing will. I think gun owners need to have a day of action and march on parliament hill. They say firearm ownership is a privilege not a right. But as far as I’m concerned I have a right to my way of life and that includes firearms. And don’t be naive thinking that just because you don’t own any pistols (I don’t either) or semiautomatic firearms that you will not be affected, because as soon as they take the semi’s they will set their sights (no pun intended) on repeating firearms. So once the pumps and lever guns are gone that leaves you with single shot everything or maybe a double barrel shotgun. If we want to keep our firearms, we are going to have to do something. Doing nothing or at least doing very little is what has gotten us to this point we can’t just stick our heads in the sand anymore and hope it works out, because it won’t. Just my 2 cents.

We are all here still. Many people got up to talk, all pro gun. I expect another hour or more until a vote.

Thanks for the update. Can’t believe this level of over reach.

On the other hand, maybe I’ll move to Kingston. If they have time to tackle out-of-their-lane issues like this, then that must mean they’ve already dealt with all the important municipal stuff, and their residents are now living in a perfect utopia.

Once again thank you to Ryan from SFRC for acting & speaking on behalf of law abiding firearms owners, this is one reason I continue to support SFRC even though Im located on the West Coast!

Sounds like virtue signalling.... all talk with no chance of actually having to do anything, and you get to blame someone else for not allowing it.
