Kirst Cartridge converter

Thanx for reply was it hard to change over? I have a euroarms 1860 so not sure whether to go with the Pietta conversion or the other one ??
on the Kirst site it mentions a number 1.53 inches ,and 1.58...could you tell me what the refers too?

Mine came with the conversion kit as part of a trade. It's dead simple to change the cylinder on a Remington compared to a Colt "wedgie". I know a guy who had several Colt-type cap & ball revolvers and he had cartridge cylinders for all of them as he didn't like BP and the associated clean up. He didn't last in the CAS game. Go figure .....

I think the figures you mention refer to the length of the cylinder. Ask the maker for confirmation. If you order, give them the details on your revolver they will send you the appropriate model.

Thanx Sharp 63 they are pricey ,but got me thinkin.
now they mention Scofield 45 is that compatible with with your 44 reminton?
Thanx again cleared several issues for me

My Kirst 5 shot cylinder will chamber any .45 case length, just as a .44 Mag chamber will eat .44 Spl. and .44 Russian.
