Hi guys been looking at buying a Pietta 357 sa revolver nickel finish. Its a $ 100.00 cheaper than stainless. Was thinking about useing it for cowboy action shooting. Will nickel stand up to the wear and tear? or save my money and buy a case-hardened finish. Thanks AGE.

I have started several threads and there is no feedback. I was wondering if I was doing something wrong? Any problems please let me know. Thank you,

I think Stainless would be a better choice. Nickel will eventually wear off in some parts..........!?

Thanks guys for the info. I have a Marlin 94 in 357 trying to match a revolver to it. I was wondering if the knickel would stand up in CAS. Saw a thread that there,s a match in Otter Valley on Sunday the 24, Im going there to watch. Probably going to try and get some guys from ESSA to go with me. All the best AGE.

Nickle is not as 'forgiving' to wear as an all stainless gun....
If you want 'authentic', go with the nickel or blued finish.
If your prime consideration is wear, spend the extra $ and stainless it is.
