I have come into the posession of an double barrel 12 gauge, and it only cocks on one side, I would suspect the spring on the other is broken.. Anyway, is there somewhere to get pieces for these?
Thanks

Knickerbocker shotguns were made by one of two makers, Stateside. Crescent Fire Arms Company of Norwich, CT. (1892 to 1931) if made before 1915 or the Stevens Arms & Tool Company of Chicopee Falls, MA (1915 to 1940), if made after 1915. Made for and sold by H & D Folsom of New York City, a large wholesale sporting goods dealer. So there have been none made since 1940.
Value, Stateside runs about $150ish to $200ish US depending on condition.
Your's have outside hammers? Makes a difference as some models use flat springs the other coil springs. May not be just a spring if your's is hammerless. Cost of getting it running might be more than it's worth.
Anyway, Gunparts, Stateside, list some parts and they have a parts drawing. No exploded drawing though. Add the W's and note that Gunparts has a $35 US export fee. .gunpartscorp.com/Manufacturers/K.htm

Thanks guys, mine is hammer less, I will dig out a screw driver and see if I can get the side plate off. I guess there could be many things preventing the cocking mechanism from working...

Avoid prying with the screw driver. Take out the screws and bash the opposite side with a plastic mallet with the plate down. And hope things don't fly into the Twilight Zone. Cover the whole thing with a towel and onto a towel.

It was really a non event.. one hammer was stuck, there was a bit of dirt jamming it. a little lube and some tlc and it is clicking nicely on both sides.. I know bolt rifles reasonably well, however this is the first shotgun I have had apart. This one is the model of simplicity.. Thanks for the suggestions.
