@Farmboy : Any chance of having a KAC or DD day at the range? Can't wait to try these out.

Got the next gen but feel I SHOULD have an AR, so far DD, KAC and Stag look like I just might, but need to justify the price range.
 
So now that the KAC's are flooding into Canada, I have a few questions:

1. For stockpiling parts, what can be generic AR parts and what has to be KAC made parts. I'm thinking gas blocks, gas tubes, bolt and bolt varrier components, LPK components etc.

2. Do the QD sling mounts have to be KAC?; and

3. I'm guessing I can't put an engraved ejection port cover onto the KAC because of the URX II upper rail only being able to be removed by KAC themselves unless they release their rail wrench?

We'll have more wrench's back in stock shortly and will be able to add or remove rails, or loan the tool out.

Sling mounts, QD's etc. can be any brand.

Most of the parts are interchangable, but I'll check and see if there are any that aren't.

I noticed on the site that the 14.5 KAC with the urx3.1 isn't a complete rifle option anymore ?

Can it still be ordered as a complete rifle ?

gas tubes - yes
bolt - yes
Bolt carrier - no
LPK components - bolt catches, triggers - unless you change out the trigger

3. I'm guessing I can't put an engraved ejection port cover onto the KAC because of the URX II upper rail - yes you can - remove the c-clip and pull out the rod and spring. insert new cover and replace re-install your rod, spring and c-clip
