Knights Arms SR-15's

Good to go for uppers and various other items too.

Kevin, I've heard KAC is coming out with an SBR.. if that's the case, and pending DoS approval, will those (rifles, uppers or lowers) be able to be exported to Canada? I'm also curious about the specs, as all I've heard is that it is an SBR.

Thanks,

@ Kevin Do yo know if the new Leupold Mk8s that are on many pics of SR-25 will be available in Canada?

I beleive the Mk8 scope is ITAR restricted to Mil/LE outside of the US. Check with Korth Industries as they are the Cdn distributor.

On the SBR's
Currently DoS will not allow us to export complete SBR's due to them being in the NFA registry, it seems we can export uppers and lowers seperately - as long as the lower is not a SBR, thus you could make a "SBR" in Canada from parts.

On the EMC's
We are still waiting to here back from DDTC.
Right now the position of DDTC is that
1) it cannot be marked 7.62MM, despite the chamber being .308WIN
2) it cannot have a threaded muzzle
3) it cannot have a collapsible stock

We have shown that several dealers have in fact exported these items in the past, and DDTC is querying the why and where of how some where approved and some where not.

Would the SBR upper have the dimpled barrel? If a SBR upper is in the future, I'm going to start saving my pennies.

Hi Kevin,

Not sure I totally understand, are you saying you can export sbr uppers as long as they don't include the lower. If that is the case, we need you guys to get on it before the US DOS changes their mind. If you can ship all the parts to assemble the upper here that would be awesome too.

My answer to that would be "not YOUR dollars??? Not your problem...". There are lots of folks out there who want something and can afford it. That equation goes something like this:

Want + $$$$$ = WIN

Ass opposed to this equation:

Want + no($$$) = WHINE ...

blake

+1

We have these prices for many reasons, most are due to factors out of our hands. I can't imagine when this Golden age comes to an end and things get worse, then what will you say..

1) Would KAC be willing to change the markings on the bbl and receiver for Canada?

2) Many rifle makers have threaded muzzles, and then pinned and welded a thread protector in order to pass muster. This 'feature' in itself could be beneficial to owners, as muzzle devices with 3/4-24 UNS 2A threading essentially do not exist in Canada (the Surefire muzzle devices are ITAR controlled in their entirety).

3) Not a deal breaker. Shipping with no stock at all would be entirely acceptable. I suppose as a Canadian, I'm used to taking it when it comes to firearms.
