Knights SR-25's pre order

Lots of us have ARs and Swiss stuff that cost almost the same as the KAC SR-25. Farmboys price is pretty descent. I`d buy it if it came with a 18.5' barrel but since its not a option I will wait untill the .308 uppers and lowers start to come out and build what I want.

I must admit the price of the SR25 doesn't really scare me - what scares me is the price of 308 ammunition!!!!

If 308 ammo is back to the price of the old days like 450 dollars a case - I will choke up the money somehow and get one.

OK so that has been cleared up, thanks. Just to clarify I wasn't #####ing about the price. I thought there might be some cool features or some special materials being used, which made it the price tag it is. Example, when I first learned about the MRP system I thought that was a cool feature.

The internet is vague when it comes to specific details about the rifle. That, or I just suck at web browsing...

You might want to look at snipers hide or ar15 forum for more details.

I hear KAC is coming out with a new tactical wall mirror soon....me want

.

I think I saw the NutnFancy Youtube review on that. Let me summarize the 45 minute review.

Dudical!! The KAC tactical wall mirror is always a part of my tactical loadout. It's good to be able to see a true fan at a moment's notice. I find staring at the KAC tactical wall mirror, has increased my high speed low drag coefficient.

It's also a useful tool if you wish to change speed to the Police ERT/SWAT tactical mode. Getting your hair just right normally takes hours. With the KAC tactical Wall mirror that time can be cut down significantly, thereby decreasing deployment time. Due to the high quality Zeiss glass and flawless mirrored background you'll quickly be able to determine which hair products meet your tactical needs.

I did however have one concern. The platinum accents didn't meet the NutnFancy tactical standards. While bead blasted for low glare, I found duracoating was required for the true low glare subdued look"...

All joking aside. The SR-25 is a very nice rifle from the accounts I've read. I'll be making due with my Armalite AR-10 :D, but I sure don't hold anything against anyone wanting the best. Good for them. You only get to live once. If you can afford it and want one, then why not. Hopefully we'll see some range reports etc. I'll have to live vicariously on this one :p

I love how defensive you guys get

I haven't really seen any defensiveness.

I would never think of spending $10-15k on a sled, or $20k on an over/under shotgun, or $10k for a set of speakers, or $3k for a 1911. But I won't annoy those that do. If it's what they want, then they have their reasons, and all the power to them.

Even if the only reason it's more expensive than the LMT is a change in 3 letters to KAC, then who cares. You're either going to buy it because you want it, or go elsewhere because to you, it's not worth it.

People forget that the lmt weighs in at about 9.98 lbs and the KAC weighs in at about 8lbs 5 oz. If you can accept the lmt is 1.5 pounds heavier before optics then the lmt is for you, but if can't or won't accept that and can afford 7kish then the Sr25 is for you.

I weighed both guns today... difference is not as much as originally indicated.

The LMT MWSE 308 weighs 9lb 15oz with sights and no magazine
The KAC SR25EMC weighs 9lb 4oz with sights and no magazine

I know the literature states the SR25EMC as being 8 1/2 lbs but the scale doesn't lie... both guns side by side... same scale (accurate to the gram/oz for our shipping department). Weighed them both twice to be sure.

The KAC definitely "feels" lighter and it obviously is lighter... but not quite as much as first indicated. Difference is @ 3/4 of a pound.

But I won't annoy those that do. .

Seriously? annoying? come on man I was just asking about the rifle. I wanted to know what makes a KAC rifle a KAC rifle.

If I would've known it was going to be a KAC fanboy session I would've stayed away. The dealer posted a presale ad essentially, usually people ask about the products people sell.
