Knoxx / Blackhawk! SpecOps Stock for 870s

filament? pfft... why not mod the light to LED?
those Surefire forends are a standard P60 host. for ~$10 you could order a drop-in R2 LED lamp assembly and have better regulated light output, durability and battery life. you could even get a red one for preserving your night vision.

also, an interesting factoid: red does not spook animals as much either -- a bowhunter aquaintance stateside uses a red LED flashlight mounted to his stabilizer for nighttime hog hunting and can shine it directly at the hogs from his stand and they dont even react to it.
:D

The DX R2 dropin is a hit and miss with the QC, they have very poor heatsinking... I had one go poof on me, and I would not rely my life on one for that reason.
For any serious work, I would stick to a Malkoff dropin instead.
Or just get a OEM Surefire 6P LED head and be done with it, But those are gona run your some money.

elimsprint, Surefire weapon lights are tough tough tough, they are costly but you get what you pay for. I would not use anything less. Do not bother with any other lights on a shotgun, the recoil destroys mounts and mediocre lights, tape switches on pump guns will snap off on you.

Well I got out to the range today finally.

The SpecOps buttstock turns shooting 2 1/2 birdshot into really light recoil. You pretty well stay on target for the next shot.

3" 000 buckshot is still really manageable and I could realistically shoot that all day long.

The $140 I spent is easily the least amount of money I've spent on a firearm to get the most amount of gain.

Very impressed with this. Gotta get more ammo!!!

My only gripe with it Knoxx is that I can't reach the pump release particularly well. I kind of have to strain my index finger to pull it back. Definitely alot easier (and more comfortable) with a plain stock.

Thanks!

That's what I'm talking about:D:D:D

That pic is the muzzle flash from my Dlask custom shotty, 2 meters of flame with a Winchester 3" magnum slug. 8.5" barrel, almost no recoil with the Knoxx tactical stock. I do love my toyz!

Now if someone can get the pic in here for everyone to see I'd appreciate it!
[I am technically challenged!]

Here you go.

It's a strap for your hand to go into, its attached to the forend, the Dlask shotguns come like that.

It is that. Stops your hand from going in front of the muzzle with the very short barrel, among other things. Reduces your odds of hand getting pinched in the fore-end, too. Some cut 'em off. Some pin grip safeties on 1911's too. Won't argue either one, I just choose to leave them both on and serving their purpose.

Wait until you get your middle finger bit when you shoot and the trigger guard flies back into the grip.

That happened to me one too many times so I got rid of that stock.

That is why I got the NRS (non-recoil suppressing) knoxx stock instead of the one with the springs in it. I just wasn't comfortable with the shotgun moving back and forth.

boomer271,
Would you please post a better pic of your forend and the strap. I like the idea and I think I am going to do something like that on my gun.

My only gripe about this (and many other aftermarket stocks) is the amount of drop in the stock... I want something more in line with the bore.

why on earth would you want that? it would make a bead/blade entirely useless since it would be impossible for you to sight down the barrel properly.

even in its current config, the comb of the Knoxx SpecOps is a touch too high when it is fully collapsed, i can only sight down the barrel/rib properly when its extended by a stop or two. the Knoxx SpecOps stock needs a bit more drop, if anything.

Is there a direct fit limbsaver pad for the knoxx telescoping stock? I have the non spring loaded grip

why not just sell your NRS and put the money you would spend on a Limbsaver pad, plus the money you got for your NRS, towards a proper recoil-reducing version?
it would make much more sense, rather than trying to 'upgrade' an NRS to reduce recoil (less effectively) for nearly the same amount of money.

because the NRS came on my Fabarm 14", i've yet to find a recoil reducing one that will mount to it. If you know of one let me know.

Does anyone know if the AR/M4 snap on pad will work?
