All: Knoxx, the recoil-compensated stock people in California, tell me that they can now ship their stocks to Canada under a US Commerce Department export permit, the last one only took 2 weeks to go through. I have ordered their SpecOps adjustable length-of-pull stock for a Mossberg. They say that the US Commerce Department does not require an International Import Certificate from Canada's department of External Affairs. I will let you all know how it all comes out.

Utilizing dual Knoxx recoil-compensating systems, the SpecOps Stock has the ability to reduce the recoil of even the most potent loads by up to 95% while adjusting to fit all shooters.

Give Knoxx a call 877 465 6699 and ask them directly. I ordered a spec-ops yesterday no problemo but I didn't ask about the sidewinders. Looks kind of awkward and clumsy and I just don't need to reload that fast. Lately I think the only knoxx stock T.S.E. had was the compstock but that might change know that Knoxx Industries has gotten the OK from the US govt. to ship directly to Canada. I can't see why you couldn't order a sidewinder if you really wanted one....

This is interesteing... About 6 months ago we had a Knoxx shipment siezed and destroyed because we had a commerce license and were told we needed a state license.

I will look into this further as we really wnat to get these items in to play with.

I tried calling the shooting edge for a price and was told the stocks are only for sale to police and such. Any other ideas?

I just got off teh phone with Knoxx... Since these goods are now "Commerce" we can get tehm in no problem.

I'll post in this forum when they have arrived (application already sent in...)

The retail will be in line with the US pricing.

sidewinder system too? :D

All: Gary at Knoxx is working through the US Commerce Department export process. So far I have given him the CFC firearms parts import page, and also the link to the Can. External Affairs and International Trade section in case US Commerce wants a letter saying what is, and what is not, a fire arms part which can be imported without a permit....

So, stay tuned for further developments!

PS: My PAL came through so I am hot on the trail of used 590's with Ghost Ring Sights or 590A1's....

stocks

I order my Knoxx stocks from F.N. Sports in Quebec, they started importing them a few months back. I deal mostly in bolt action rifle stocks but they do carry popular brand shotgun stuff, I have been very impressed with their quality and function on stiff recoiling calibers. D.H.

All: No news from Knoxx. When I go to FN Sports, Quebec, I end up with an RJ Nicholls e-mail; I have already asked RJ Nicholls about importing a Spec-Ops stock both by voice and by e-mail, and have never got a response back. Meanwhile I have suggested to Knoxx that if they find getting a letter from Canada's External Affairs recognizing that stocks are unrestricted items, too difficult, that Knoxx can consider subcontracting the whole paperwork thing out to Questar who do this for a living!

All the best,

PS: I am looking for hardened 12g slug cartridges by mail...
