Knoxx compensated stocks available in Canada

All: Gary at Knoxx is working through the US Commerce Department export process. So far I have given him the CFC firearms parts import page, and also the link to the Can. External Affairs and International Trade section in case US Commerce wants a letter saying what is, and what is not, a fire arms part which can be imported without a permit....

So, stay tuned for further developments!

Larry at Knoxx will have more info in a few days. He wants to be VERY sure about the exportability as he doesn't want to face the firing squad over this.

I suspect all the Knoxx brought in so far have been without papers.

if I can get a Spec Ops Stock in, can I get it back into the US?

Thanks all for your thoughts.

So far, no news from Knoxx, but most of the people in the approving agencies take leave over Xmas-New Years, so we'll see next week...

Meanwhile, since I have to be able to take a 590SP 12G with the Spec Ops stock back into the US on film shoots, I have started the application process for a 1 year temporary import permit from the US ATF (Alcohol Tax and Firearms).

It is important to note that the ATF has deleted the last two paragraphs of the 'Application and Permit for Temporary Importation of Firearms and Ammuntiion by Nonimmigrant Aliens', which means that folding stocks and shotguns of greater than 5 shot magazine capacity are no longer banned from being taken into the US. However, you wouldn't know this from the internet version of the form! You would have to telephone the ATF, which is what I did...

We'll see what they approve when I submit to the ATF later this winter...I can always put the Mossberg issue plastic stock on for trips to the US, but I'd prefer to use the Knoxx stock which is a better fit!

All the best,
