I am trying to find out how well the Knoxx special ops stocks work in reducing felt recoil from any one who has used them on a Remington 870 pump, also of any dealers in Canada that stock them as an after market item. I already know that it is possible to obtain them on new Remington tactical 870's.

TSE in Calgary sells them.....IIRC they just got a shipment of em too...

I noticed that it holds true to their claims of less felt recoil.....I really like mine :)

Mine also has an R3 pad on it and makes even more of a difference...

Remington offers the R3 for the Knoxx...

The new forum Mod is just upset no one has posted in his section yet...
Dont worry Anphib, someone will come by to your mall ninja, ghey nude freediving site eventually.
You just have to stop pestering them

Just received mine in the mail today. Hopefully I can shoot it on Friday to see how well it works.

I'm looking forward to presenting my best "mall ninja look" for deer this fall, and turkey next spring. :p

Now, I need to source a Remington R3 pad. Didn't know that was available!

I have shot both the 870 and the 590 with the Specops stock and love the differance it makes. The only thing I can say bad about them is that you must learn to readjust your face position and on the 590 the access to the action lock is restricted, you will have to relearn how to use your gun. I am figuring out which limbsaver pad will fit on this stock to make it even easier to shoot. The adjustable lenght of pull is nice also.

Well let me tell you, the stock, combined with a ported turkey choke makes a 2 oz load feel like a 2 3/4 gameload. It really soaks up the recoil. used mine to take a turkey this year allready, and the stock works like a charm. It makes shooting, and holding the shotgun from a seated position for extended periods of time easier, and the adjustable LOP makes it easy to adjust perfectly depending on your position, or rest.

Contact Knoxx, 29.00 plus shipping gets you one. It increases the LOP enough that you dont get bit in the lip if you creep your face too close on the shortest setting. I did it once with the stock pad on, and the Limbsaver/R3 from KNoxx increased it by about 1/2 inch. Just enough that I wont get a fat lip again. :dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

Thanks Darryl, though it doesn't appear to be a Limbsaver, only an extended butt pad.

Still looking for that Remington R3 made for the Knoxx. Anybody?

I found that Knoxx's claims were exaggerated, although it is a great product. Every now and then my trigger finger gets smashed when firing the heavy hitters like buckhammers and 3" 1 1\4 Oz slugs. I imagine that may be caused by my inattention as well. If it weren't for the pistol grip and look I would have stuck with my R3 pad, which is now on my knoxx.

I really like mine and do prefer the pistol grip for walking in the woods. I use my 870 for deer with 3" mag slugs, ducks, geese, and grouse. Even when shooting skeet - the recoil difference is huge!!

OK, lets try this again.... CONTACT KNOXX. the "extended" pad isnt the same price as I quoted is it? 19.95 isnt 29.00 is it?

Pick up your phone, and use it... you might be suprised what happens...

Now, now Darryl, no need to get testy. You sound like my wife during the wrong part of the month when I didn't hear her properly because the kids are yelling. :p

Just assumed it would be on their website.

Thanks for taking the time to correct a neighbour. :)
