I tried out my new ScecOps yesterday on a 870 18.5 bbl and boy it was easy to shoot. As it was friggin cold I was only out for 15-20 minutes and shot a box of shot and two boxes of slugs. Very comforable, I could even shoot one handed with shot or slugs (allbeit they were only 2.75 magnums). Though I didn't once say the "S" word  I did say to myself "Niccccce!"

I have one coming in the mail (should be in today). I bought it off someone on the site in the EE :)

I couldn't wait anymore... I will post pics and a review soon.

Perfect timing... I just got mine today too...

So, here's a question for those who have them: Does the plastic on the grip look like it is cracked everywhere/flaky? (I am talking about the back strap and the area under the portion which slides).

Could someone please confirm? Thanks :)

mine's still new and never mounted - just looked and yes looks a tad worn on the back of the pistol grip and yes the plastic looks a little rough underneath- but it actually feels quite smooth except for the aforementioned "wear mark" - probably has to do with the plastic injection machine or whatever they use to make them.

They do look like that, I work in a plastics factory, and I must say this is not the best molding job!! I am guessing it is the molds, and or the process in which they make them. It is very strong material used, so not to worry! They will work for you just fine. I own one myself, and have no complaints, other than the cosmetics of the plastic, but that is minor. All I care about is shooting slugs and turkey loads without the recoil....and it really does take away alot of recoil!! Cheers!:D

I got mine from TSE and love it. 23 coworkers put a bunch of rounds through my Marine Magnum with it yesterday and every one of them commented on the reduction in recoil.
Is the finish perfect? Don't really care as long as it works and that it does.

As promised now comes my mini-review.

The 12.5" 870 is now a pleasure to shoot. WOW!! I can't say enough good things about it.

I shot twenty five 2-3/4" slugs, ten 00 buckshot, twenty five heavy game #2 and two hundred #8 trap loads. I can honestly say it now feels shoot-able (If I had to relay how it feels, it's somewhere between an SKS and a light bolt action .308 in terms of recoil).

The stock works... I was skeptical... but the lack of a bruise on my face and the very minor bruising on my shoulder/chest confirms that it works. I use to get an instant of blurred vision right after shooting some of the heavier shells between shots, but now I can see the entire process and am back on target way quicker. I feel like a commercial, but it ain't hype... reduction in felt recoil was very significant.

I love my specops stock. +1 on these things!!!

I was so desparate for one that I ended up buying a Norc with one already installed (here on CGN) and then sold the Norc that I wanted to put one on.

I did the whole video test run; one handed, shotgun stock against the chest, rapid fire with slugs, everything. DAMN, it works just like it did in the video!

Got to get one for my 1300 if they're available.
