knoxx stock jamming forward, any thoughts?

hey there.

I picked up a knoxx telescopic/recoil reducing stock for my 870.
it looks great, and I'm happy with the shorter length of pull it offers me.

but,
when i was shooting yesterday, when i put 00 buck through the gun, the recoil reduction function seemed to be not working correctly.

after the shot, the stock was jammed in it's forward position, encroaching on the space of the trigger guard.

i had to bonk the stock backward to make it return to it's original position.
it didn't happen with 2.75" no5 or no7 shells, but with the magnum 00buck it happened every time.

could it be that it's just new and needs to be worn in a bit? (it was easier to bonk back after a couple other 00 shells)

or, is there something I should adjust to fix the problem? (loosen?)

thanks for any tips

thanks man
yeah, i even noticed at the shoot that it seemed to be sticking on the bottom of the trigger guard.
I'll work mine like you did and maybe do a tiny bit of filing if need be (to the inside of the stock part that sticks to the trigger guard)

thanks!

I had the same problem with the first shot.I slid the bottom off pistol grip and sprayed gun oil on the springs and spray oil on spring in stock.I never had it jam again.

yup!
I lubed it a bit with some hoppes (right on the inside rear "track" where the stock travels)
I did the bodyweight thing again, and it didnt stick once.

man! i wish I'd done that before i went out yesterday haha

So you opened the little port at the bottom of the pistol grip and lubed from there?
