Knuckled Out Bear Claws

Really great job on the claws. What did you do for the nice, even finish? Thanks
P7

I dried them, ground them smooth then sealed them with clear shellac.

Split one to cover the rivet on a knife handle

The handle is the bottom jaw from my first bow kill several decades ago. A brown phase black bear. The necklace in the first pic are his hind claws.

I have not ever gone bear hunting, just ran across the odd one wile moose hunting. the last one I shot was trying to eat my picnic basket. just became an owner in a fly in fish camp in nw ontatio, near lake of the woods so I may take it up. the camp has to dispose of the food waste, might as well start a bait pile.
