Kobra red dot sight

Is there any chance that TI will sell the kobra rail without the optic? I don't understand why the rail sold with the picatinny mount is completely different than the kobra

This has been asked for before from other forum members. TI has so far declined to sell the Kobra rail without the optic. I suspect they wish to either sell their complete optic and rail combo, or the Kobra and rail combo as packages to help them recoup the cost of developing the no-drill mounting system for the Type 81.

Some like GnutzGuy on YouTube or Murray 3-d could probably tell you if you can order the AK Universal Kobra compatible mount plate from elsewhere and drill it out to use the TI no-drill mounting pins from either kit, or when pre-installed on the "optic ready" version of the special edition rifles.

Has anybody had the cobra sight not be aligned with the barrel? Mine is not pointed straight and ide like to adjust it

Could I get a rundown on this? I didn’t know
You could purchase the no-drill mounting pins separately, but I don’t want to pay 600$ for an optic I won’t use, since I just need the bloody no drill ak side rail

You can't get the no-drill pins and right safety outside of a scope kit or an optic ready SE rifle from TI, but you should be able to purchase the pins and safety from a member who has an extra set after getting both scope mount kits, and/or got an optic ready rifle and a kit. I will ask GNutzguy on YouTube if he can do a video on modding a non-TI plate to work with the threaded TI pins.

ok i need to find some shell deflectors for posp: so far i found only one kind in cz republic.

i need to find a lower adapter to fit a svd posp on an ak one, kalinka offered that swap mount in the past as well ...

a lot of question for today.

my kobra decided that it will work only if i open or close the battery door ... the reticle change wont open it ... not very useful ... hope to get soon the rail that will fit on the mount i got and being able to use a scope on it ...

heard from TI and shipped back to get a replacement unit.

just an update: i received my unit back and fixed. thank you very much TI. (nadine and nick).

Ok so is there enough adjustment in the setup to deal with the bent rifle syndrome (even though it’s officially not bent)
Being that the whole setup rides behind the bend?

happen to find any good shell deflectors?

after spending quite a bit of time at the range, I got my kobra zeroed by the turrets are extremely hard to move. I feel like I may be at the extremes of the adjustment.... anyone else having this issue?

im having the issue where you see an halo around the reticle, its not as bad on the red dot as on the other 3 reticles, is this normal behaviour? i was thinking it was my fault but i can get it on camera so... would be sad to pay that much to just never use it

here's 2 pictures that even tho arent best quality do reflect what i can see on the Kobra.
